Instructor Development, Course #2001

Instructor Development is a class is 40 hours in length and is intended for instructors who have less than two years in course delivery and who have no formal training in instructional techniques.  A non-renewable certificate is issued for successfully passing the class.

 

Instructor Development teaches you to:

  • Explore adult learning principles and methods for creating adult learning environments.
  • Explore a systematic approach to design, develop and deliver training programs.
  • Explore the various strategies, methods, training aids, and resources available to assist in the design and development process.  

Please note:

  • Minimum class size is 16 students; max is 21.  Register early. 

 

Cancellations: If you must cancel, please provide us at least a weeks notice. Agencies that have registered students who fail to attend without the proper notification, will be billed $125. Prerequisite:   Current employment in the criminal justice field.

Meal Ticket: Meal tickets will be available for purchase from the Academy Café for $115.15 for a one week ticket (includes breakfast, lunch and dinner each day) or for $23 per day. These meal tickets must be purchased by the attendee at the Academy Café on the first day of class.
